When the Danfoss Group decided to sell its household appliance compressors maker to AURELIUS, it was burdened with an overly high cost structure. Additionally, the company’s strategic alignment was no longer appropriate for the market and therefore its product portfolio was outdated.

After the successful completion of the carve-out, combined with the establishment of stand-alone structures and the introduction of a new brand, the company’s cost structure was optimised considerably. The outdated product technology was overhauled with a focus on new, highly efficient and energy-saving compressors, which met the demands of the market. The company’s growth was accelerated by the implementation of new sales structures, geographical expansion into North America and China, and the acquisition of competitor ACC.
