Dirk is a Founding Partner of AURELIUS.

Established in 2005, AURELIUS has developed into a global alternative investor specialising in private markets, in particular Private Equity and Private Debt.

Early in his career, Dirk was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in Hamburg/Germany and Palo Alto/California where he focused on process optimization and digitization as well as restructuring topics.

Dirk graduated from the University of St. Gallen/Switzerland as a scholar of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes). He got a PHD in Business Administation from St. Gallen and was a visiting research fellow at Harvard University.

Through his family foundation, Dirk is supporting philanthropic endeavors around the world including START Foundation, providing scholarships to gifted children and Miracle Feet, working to eradicate clubfoot.
